Where to Stay in Seville: San Bernardo Neighborhood
If you’re road tripping, look for a place that includes private parking. Street parking in Seville can be tricky and is often farther away than you’d prefer. We stayed in the San Bernardo neighborhood with accommodation that was dog-friendly, walkable, and quiet with a small parking spot included. Here’s the link!

Day 0: Tapas, Vino, and San Bernardo in Seville
Driving from Lagos to Seville normally takes about 3 hours, but our total drive time ended up being closer to 6 hours due to a roadside meeting and charging our electric car. The good news? Activities in Seville don’t end when the sun goes down (usually, they’re just starting the night).
So, for day 0 of our trip, we spent the evening exploring nearby restaurants while enjoying drinks along the way. This kickstarted favorite Seville activity: eating!

Popular Spanish foods for your Seville holidays:
- Papas Bravas
- Salmorejo
- Jamón ibérico
- Café Bombón
- Solomillo al whiskey
- Churros con chocolate
- and of course vino… lots of vino
Day 1: Tapas, Parks & Sunset Views of Sevilla
Our first stop for our Seville holiday? Plaza de España, an architectural masterpiece and Star Wars Episode II filming location (the main reason I first visited Sevilla). It’s located in Parque de Maria Luisa, so you can explore both in one go. Local musicians, boats, bubbles, and horse rides bring the space to life, and it’s dog-friendly!

From there, we wandered toward the old Royal Tobacco Factory (now the University of Seville), which is great for people watching and surrounded by cute brunch spots. The Mediterranean fusion spot across the street was delicious, and Mike fell in love with the sweet espresso drink, Café Bombón.

The evening was all about exploring some TikTok finds as we headed to Universal People Bar for solomillo al whiskey, stumbled across some churros con chocolate, then skipped the long lines at Las Setas to grab sunset drinks at the abba Hotel rooftop bar across the street.

Day 2: Brunch & Royal Palace Seville
We started Day 2 with a filling brunch at La Mala Santa Cruz. The eggs benedicts were amazing, and while eating, we grabbed tickets for Real Alcázar (about €16 per adult).
Pro tip: You need to book ahead for a time slot to the Royal Palace of Seville (Real Alcázar), especially during high season. We had time to explore the area before our visit, and I know the saying goes “not all who wander are lost.” In this case, we ended up very very lost.

Don’t get lost like we did. Instead, search for Puerta del León for the correct entrance to this palace. We absolutely loved it once we found the entrance and included a walking tour of some of our favorite spots inside Real Alcázar on our YouTube!
Tapas were a must daily, so we visited La Gorda de los Jardines for risotto tapas and tried to catch a free flamenco performance nearby. We showed up just as the performance ended, but the location is still pinned in our Google Maps list. Learn from us and get there early!
Day 3: Breakfast & Beyond during your Seville holidays
On our final morning, we had pan con tomate, a traditional Spanish breakfast of toasted bread, olive oil, and fresh tomato puree. Simple and perfect.

And just like that, it was time to charge the car and head out to our next road trip destination: Tavira, Portugal for the Almond Blossom Festival. (You can watch that leg of the trip on our channel too!)
Whether you’re planning a quick weekend city break or weaving your Sevilla into a longer road trip, this city is one of our favorites. From palace gardens and beautiful views to rich flavors and vibrant street life, Seville holidays are the perfect mix of culture and activity.
