We know a lot of you are looking at ways to upskill during the coronavirus/COVID-19 quarantine period. Whether it’s because you have the time or because you’re looking for new employment, now is a great opportunity to dive deeper into your skill development.
Here are some of our favorite free courses we’ve been using throughout this quarantine period:
- Yoast free SEO courses (the also have some great free WordPress courses)
- Start a Blogging Business 5-day Crash Course from It’s a Lovely Life. They have several other free courses about starting a blog on their website, and love them all! We’re personally going through their Blogging Blastoff 2.0 course (not free) together during this time. It really is like going on a new adventure together since it sparks our imagination about what the future of Rich Living, Less Spending will be.
- Google Academy offers free Google Analytics training. This is so critical if you want to get into the blogging/online professional community. It’s an expectation for many employers to have at least basic knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Google offers several other free trainings on their Skillshop, Google’s LMS. Like Google Analytics, many of these skills are requirements if you’re going into the online business/marketing fields.
- LinkedIn Learning offers free learning paths and online courses on almost every topic. In response to coronavirus, LinkedIn is offering a free work-from-home learning path. (ok, so this might not make your home into an adventure – but it might help your sanity)
- Fender is offering 3 months of free guitar lessons! Make sure the other members of your house are ok with this offer. I remember when my brother was learning guitar….. I think I heard the first 2 seconds of Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson more than 1,000 times.
- Skillshare unlocked thousands of their courses for free for any students with a .edu and .k12 email address.
- Class Central has a free course on just about anything! We haven’t tried this platform, but it’s highly recommended.
If you have any other free courses you think would be great to check out, comment below or email us at hi@RichLivingLessSpending! We’d love to hear from you.
